Pushing it Elon Musk Style

Attacking your goals is a daily affair. Getting back on the horse, getting back to chores on the farm, hitting the mat in the gym every day. Elon Musk notoriously works 100 hours a week.

The most successful people, I would like to believe, work intelligently, but they work. A daily practice of getting more done in 24 hours than many do in an entire week. They have rituals. They leverage their own body and brain chemistry. Their looking for whatever advantage they can possibly edge out against the world.

Recently I’ve made it my goal to work 12–15 hours a day on making each of my goals happen. It’s surprised me how quickly that time passes when I put my nose to the grindstone.

I’m reminded of Edison, who worked consistently for up to 20 hours at a time, passing out in a small broom closet in Menlo Park during the hundreds of filament trials on the lightbulb.
